The Eurasian Heart Failure Association was founded on August 31, 2023, in Ankara by Dr. Ahmet TEMİZHAN, Dr. Yüksel ÇAVUŞOĞLU, Dr. Mehmet Birhan YILMAZ, Dr. Ahmet ÇELİK, Dr. Dilek URAL, Dr. Sanem NALBANTGİL and Dr. Hakan ALTAY.

The primary objectives of the association are to monitor all scientific and social developments related to heart failure and its risk factors, such as hypertension, atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, structural heart diseases, valvular heart diseases, congenital heart diseases, arrhythmias, obesity, diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, and history of cancer treatments (chemotherapy and radiotherapy). The association aims to organize educational meetings, seminars, congresses, and conferences in these fields; promote the full implementation of criteria for the monitoring and treatment of heart failure and related conditions; conduct, commission, and support new studies to combat heart failure scientifically; and organize educational meetings for individuals diagnosed with heart failure and their families, as well as provide social and psychological support.

Our association held its first educational meeting on "Advanced-Stage Heart Failure" on January 13, 2024, at the Izmir Ege University Cardiovascular Surgery Department conference hall. The treat-hf.online registry system was established to create a national database on heart failure syndrome risk factors, prevalence of phenotypes, prognostic outcomes, and applied treatment and monitoring approaches in our country.

Through its scientific data, studies, research, training programs, and social responsibility projects, our association will shape our country's approach to the prevalence, monitoring, treatment, and management of heart failure syndrome. Additionally, it will make recommendations that will form the basis for health policies addressing heart failure and its risk factors and collaborate with all institutions involved in the healthcare system.
